Traveling With Us - Trek to Rudranath

A couple of sumers ago, we had a memorable trip to Rudranath. It all started when three college friends now working in different places - Chetan, Saurabh and Aashu, walked into our office, wanting to go up into the mountains for a trek. We decided to trek up to Rudranath, above Gopeshwar in the Garhwal mountains. Starting from Delhi at dawn we drove through the day with breaks for breakfast and lunch, and reached Chopta around seven in the evening. Though dark, one could feel the welcome change from the urban landscape of Delhi. Deepak from our office had gone on ahead to look after the arrangements and met us in Chopta. Early next morning we trekked to Tunganath and then drove on to Saggar which was the starting point for the trek to Rudranath. These pictures describe the trek, the views and the camraderie shared by us much better then words can.
